The firm was founded by Ron Briggs. Ron has been a financial professional for 30 years, beginning his career in 1987 with Shearson Lehman Brothers. In 1990 he moved his practice to what was then Dean Witter and ultimately became Morgan Stanley, where he spent 14 years as a Financial Advisor. It was during his tenure at Morgan Stanley that he became one of the first advisors in Western Massachusetts to employ unified, fee-based asset allocation strategies on behalf of his clients. These accounts which meld private money managers and institutional mutual funds, have become a preferred system of investing, removing the commission issue from client accounts.
For the past 13 years he has continued this practice on an independent basis in East Longmeadow, where Horizon Investment Management Group is located.
